NASA and Wisconsin - Madison University has conducted collaborative research to grow potatoes in space. According to NASA, potatoes will be grown in a climate which simulates that of Mars, with the average temperature at -64 degree C and the lowest temperature at -175 degree C. Some vegetables are toxic. Be careful when you are processing them!
You might not know this, but certain vegetables contain toxic substances. For example, mushrooms, casava roots, and bamboo shoots contain cyanogenic, a substance which causes nausea, headache, and shortness of breath.
